Personal Question
How can you relate to the purpose of the book of Hebrews?
Just as we are attached to our Church services, the Holy Liturgy, Sunday School, raising on incense, lighting candles, etc., the Jews were attached to the traditions handed down to them in the first covenant. One day, they had to give those traditions/rituals up and start the new covenant. Thinking about this, it is a good chance to ask ourselves: Why do we love, and do, our traditions – out of habit, or love for the tradition itself, or because they let us experience God?
