Personal Question
Do we find it uncomfortable to read about the chastisement of the people of Israel in the bible? Do we try to shy away from these verses and just focus on the verses which have promises of comfort? Whilst the promises of comfort are beautiful, we need to also have soft hearts to hear the truth and ask God for our weaknesses to be revealed so we can return to Him and allow Him to uproot the old man.
