1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message for the week by Father Mark:
One of the people you probably know well, is your neighbour. The person that lives next door. You see them everyday, you say hi and bye everyday.
Now imagine they invited you over for their birthday. When you attend their birthday celebration, you meet their family and friends. And you hear speeches about your neighbour given by their family and friends. After the party, you will probably feel like you know you neighbour on a whole new level. A level that you never knew them before. Whilst you had previously thought you knew them well, seeing and hearing their family and friends opened your eyes to much more about them.
This is exactly like Church. We think we know God well. But when we go to Church and we see His family and friends, and we hear them speak about Jesus, we leave Church knowing Him on a different level.

3. Kiahk Praises and Liturgies – starting from this Saturday 11 December
During the month of Kiahk the church has the following services of praise and liturgies:
1. 6pm to after midnight each Saturday. Mass will start after Tasbeha around 11pm.
2. Special early morning Kiahk Praises every Saturday and Sunday morning: from 2am to 5:30am followed by the early mass and finish at 8am.
Please come and enjoy praising the Lord in a joyful spirit.
4. Keep Church Clean Request
As we are now approaching full capacity back at church, please remember the following:
1) Dispose of rubbish appropriately. Please do not leave anything behind. If you find that the bin next to you is full, please find another one.
2) We have new cardboard recycling yellow bins. Please put ONLY Cardboard and paper in them after you empty them from any food or drink . Otherwise, they cannot be recycled.
3) Do not donate anything to the church without asking one of the fathers if the church has need of it first. The only exception is the COCOS bin for male adult clothes. Please put the clothes directly inside the bin only.
Remember the Church is our Home, so please keep it clean.
5. Shuttle Bus
The Shuttle bus service is back in operation from 8:15am to 1pm each Sunday. Please be encouraged to drop off your family at church and park at the Arncliffe car park. The shuttle bus will pick-up and drop-off drivers to prevent you from walking a long distance to church.
6. Year 12 Physics and Chemistry Intensive Courses – this week!
Year 12 Physics Intensive Course
When: 13th to 17th December
Time: 9am to 12pm (30 min break)
Content: Module 6. Syllabus dot point notes, Questions, and Homework will be provided.
Cost: $30 per day donation
Tutor: 2nd in the State Tutor
Followed by:
Year 12 Chemistry Intensive Course
When: 13th to 17th December
Time : 1 pm to 2.30pm (no break)
Content: Organic Chemistry..

The Youth Lion’s Cup is almost here! (St Mark’s 6-a-side outdoor soccer competition for Year 12+).

8. Christmas Carols @Narrow Gate – December 19 (please note change of date)
Christmas Carols will be held at the Narrow Gate: 6 – 8pm on Sunday 19 December.
Get ready to enjoy the Choir, Food Stalls, Jumping Castles, Animal Farm, Santa with gifts and more!
St Wanas Charity will be collecting your generous donations and send it to children in need for Christmas. Please place new toys (average value $15) on the event, under the Christmas tree . Alternatively, you may choose to donate the same value at the St Wanas station on the day.

11. SYC Youth Cruise
The Sydney Youth Committee (SYC) is excited to invite the youth of all parishes to join us for the upcoming SYC Youth Cruise with His Eminence Archbishop Angaelos, during his historic visit as Papal Legate of the Diocese of Sydney.
It is a wonderful opportunity for our youth and clergy to gather for a first in-person SYC event in almost two years.

12. Men’s Clothing for the Homeless Needed Urgently
Leading up to Christmas and the new year, the Coptic Orthodox Community Outreach Service (COCOS) needs your help. We urgently need donations of clothing for men. The clothing does not have to be new, just in good condition. If you have clothing you do not need, please put these in bags and place in the COCOS clothing charity bin located at Saint Mark’s Church (just down the steps of the English church car park and to the right). If we all could spare a few items, it would make an enormous difference.
Much needed items of clothing for men include:
· Jeans (sizes 30 to 38)
· Shirts (especially t-shirts)
· Casual jackets
· Tracksuits
· Sports and casual shoes (sizes 9 – 13)
· Singlets
· Shorts
· New underwear
· Socks
· Sun hats

أحد الأشخاص الذين ربما تعرفه جيدًا هو جارك. الشخص الذي يعيش في البيت المجاور. تراه كل يوم، تقول له سلاماً ووداعًا كل يوم. تخيل الآن أنه دعاك إلى عيد ميلاده. عندما تحضر احتفال عيد ميلاده، تتقابل مع عائلاته وأصدقائه. وتسمع أحاديث عن جارك يلقيها أهله وأصدقائه. بعد الحفلة، من المرجح أنك ستشعر وكأنك تعرفه على مستوى جديد تمامًا. مستوى لم تعرفه من قبل. بينما كنت تعتقد سابقًا أنك تعرفه جيدًا، فإن رؤية وسماع عائلاته وأصدقائه فتحت عينيك على المزيد عنه.

ب. تسبحة كيهكية خاصة في الصباح الباكر صباح كل سبت وأحد:
من ٢ – ٥:٣٠ صباحاً يعقبها قداس ينتهي الساعة ٨ صباحاً
من فضلك تعال واستمتع بتسبيح الرب الإله بروح يغمرها الفرح.
٤رجاء الحفاظ على نظافة الكنيسة
نظرًا لاقترابنا من عودة الكنيسة إلى قدرتها الاستيعابية الكاملة، يُرجى تذكر ما يلي:
· التخلص من القمامة بشكل لائق. من فضلك لا تترك أي شيء وراءك. إذا وجدت صندوق القمامة الذي بجوارك ممتلئ، فيُرجى البحث عن صندوق قمامة أخر.
· لدينا صناديق صفراء جديدة لإعادة تدوير الكرتون. يرجى وضع فيها الكرتون والورق فقط بعد تفريغها من أي طعام أو شراب. إذا لم نفعل ذلك، لا يمكن إعادة تدويرها.
· لا تتبرع بأي شيء للكنيسة دون أن تسأل أحد الآباء أولاً ما إذا كانت الكنيسة بحاجة إلى ما تتبرع به. الاستثناء الوحيد هو صندوق COCOS لملابس الذكور الراشدين. يرجى وضع الملابس مباشرة داخل الصندوق فقط.
تذكر أن الكنيسة هي بيتنا، لذا يُرجى الحفاظ عليها نظيفة.
٥.خدمة الاتوبيس
تعاود خدمة ال.أتوبيس نشاطها من ٨:١٥ صباحاً وحى ١ ظهراً. نحثك على إنزال عائلتك في الكنيسة والوقوف في موقف سيارات ارنكليف. سينقل الأتوبيس السائقين ليعفيهم من المشي مسافة طويلة إلى الكنيسة.
