1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father David:
We have reached the halfway mark of the Great Lent. Many may be feeling where has the time gone? How do I make the most of the time remaining?
Pope Shenouda asks a series of questions that are beneficial for us to reflect on. Ask yourself:
– Do you really know God?
– Does He have a clear existence in your busy life?
– is He your number 1 priority?
– is He your everything? Or, is there something more important besides God? What is it?
There are different levels in our relationship with God, where do you stand?
These may sound like strange questions…because we all feel that, off course we know God. But as St James explained knowledge alone is not sufficient as "even the demons believe and tremble" (Jm2:19)
May we use the remaining few weeks of Lent as a spiritual revival, approaching Him and experiencing Him through living and communicating with Him daily.
2. Saturday “Sunday School” Service
We wish to inform all families at St Marks that there is a Saturday Sunday School service for pre-crèche to Year 6 after the Saturday mass from 10.30 to 11.30am – all are welcome!

Note: Saturday English Mass
There will be a mass in the English Church every Saturday from 8.30am.
3. Lent Bible Study
The Week 6 Bible Study (Arabic only) is attached.
4. Request for Servants
+ Servants are required to help in the food service for those who are interested in receiving the blessings. Please contact Jacquie Malak on 0408 157 7543.
+ The Khak group would like a hand over the next few weeks until Palm Sunday. If you can spare a couple of hours Monday – Friday between 10am -5pm, or if you are free in the evenings to assist, please contact Nancy Assad on 0414 661 031.
5. St Mark High School Club – Friday 1 April
7 – 9pm, for Year 9 and 10 Boys.

6. HSC Physics – Holiday Intensive Course: 11 – 15 April
Module 7 – Nature of Light, and review Questions on Module 6 (Electromagnetism).
Tutor: Ann Hanna – an experienced and current teacher of HSC Physics, familiar with HSC marking.
5-day course: 10am – 12pm each day in the Archdeacon Habib Guirgis Room.
$20 donation per day for the needy in Egypt.
Limited places – registration on a first-in basis.

Please note the end of Daylight Savings is this weekend. Good idea to change your clocks on Saturday night.
9. Bereavement Announcement
Please note the following Bereavement Announcement for Lucy Shohdy:
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." (Revelation 21:4)
Our beloved Lucy Shohdy, has departed in Egypt and now is in the embrace of Our Lord.
Lucy is the beloved mother of Sameh Morcos in Australia and Suzy Samir in America. Wife of the late Samir Morcos. Mother-in-law to Hanan Saad in Australia and Amir Samaan in America. Grandmother of Amir and Andrew Morcos in Australia and Mark Samaan in America.
May God repose her soul in the Paradise of Joy and give peace and comfort to all the family in Australia and overseas. Please pray for the family.

يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس أبوناديفيد
قد وصلنا إلى منتصف الصوم الكبير. قد يتساءل الكثيرون أين مضى الوقت؟ كيف يمكنني الاستفادة القصوى من الوقت المتبقي؟
يطرح البابا شنودة سلسلة من الأسئلة التي يفيدنا أن نتأمل فيها. اسال نفسك:
– هل حقاً تعرف الله؟
– هل له وجود واضح في حياتك المزدحمة؟
– هل هو رقم واحد في أولوياتك؟
– هل هو كل شيء لديك؟ أم أن هناك ما هو أهم لديك من الله؟ ما هو هذا؟
هناك مستويات مختلفة في علاقتنا مع الله، أين أنت منها؟
قد تبدو هذه أسئلة غريبة … لأننا جميعًا نشعر بأننا بالطبع نعرف الله. ولكن كما أوضح القديس يعقوب، فإن المعرفة وحدها ليست كافية لأن "حتى الأرواح الشريرة تؤمن وترتعد " يعقوب ٢:١٩
نرجو أن نستفيد في الأسابيع القليلة المتبقية من الصوم الكبير كنهضة روحية، نقترب فيها منه ونختبر العشرة معه من خلال التواصل اليومي معه.
٢.خدمة "مدارس الأحد" يوم السبت
نود أن نعلم جميع العائلات بكنيسة سانت مارك أنه توجد خدمة مدارس أحد يوم السبت للأعمار ما قبل سن الحضانة وإلى الصف السادس الابتدائي بعد قداس يوم السبت من ١٠:٣٠ إلى ١١:٣٠ صباحاً – الجميع مرحب بهم!
