1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father David:
As we approach the end of the Coptic Year, our church reminds us of the "end of times" as well as reminding us of the lovely martyrs who happily sacrificed everything for their love for God (El Nayrouz).
Because the martyrs had a very clear understanding of their purpose in life on earth and the joys of what they will receive in eternity, they were so committed to showing their loyalty to God that they did not allow anything or anyone to convince them or take them away from God, even to the point of their death.
In our lives we too suffer temptations and "beloved sins" and addictions that draw us away from Christ. These are also opportunities for us to show our loyalty to God. This is a form of Modern-day martyrdom. Where we shed ourselves of our addictions to lusts of the flesh, impurities, gambling, gossiping and drugs.
If we want to receive modern day crowns of martyrdom, then we too need to find ways of being loyal to God and renewing this covenant of Loyalty to Him on a daily basis.
Let us use these last few weeks of the Coptic Year as a time of reflection and spiritual planning for revival. We need to identify the things we’ve been doing that need to stop, the things we’ve been doing that we need to do more of, and the things that we have not done that we should start to do, to show our love and loyalty to Christ our King.
2. El Nayrouz Celebration

3. St Mark’s Coptic Mastermind Competition
St Mark’s church will be holding a Coptic Mastermind competition for year 5 and 6 girls and boys this year which will be held on 13th November 2022. This is an excellent opportunity for your child to study the Bible in depth and grow their love for The Word of God. In preparation for the competition, the kids will be grouped into teams of 4 and will be coached over the course of 6 weeks.

4. Bookshop Announcement

5. Conference for families with HG Bishop Raphael
4 – 6 November at Wollongong Surf and Leisure Resort. Please see details in poster below.
6. Unwanted Items left at Church
Unfortunately, many items have turned up at church being left by well-meaning people who want to donate these items to church. The church ends up spending a lot of resources to remove or dispose of these items appropriately.
Please do not bring anything to church unless you receive permission from one of our fathers. Please help us keep our church clean and beautiful.
7. Appeal to help St AbuSefien Church Fire Victims
Dear Beloved Brothers & Sisters in Christ, The devastating fire that engulfed through St AbuSefien Church in Imbaba has claimed many lives. So many families have lost their loved ones in this terrible incident. St Wanas Charity has been called to assist kids in need. St Wanas aims to run this fundraiser appeal to help the kids that have been affected by loss of their family members and build a facility for the kids to help them find peace & solace.

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية:
يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس أبونا ديفيد
ونحن نقترب من نهاية السنة القبطية، تذكرنا كنيستنا بـ "نهاية الزمان" وتذكرنا بالشهداء الرائعين الذين ضحوا بكل شيء وهم سعداء من أجل محبتهم لله (النيروز)
ولأن الشهداء كان لديهم فهم واضح جدًا لهدفهم في الحياة على الأرض وفرح بما سيحصلون عليه في الأبدية، فقد كانوا ملتزمين جدًا بإظهار ولائهم لله لدرجة أنهم لم يسمحوا لأي شيء أو لأي شخص أن يقنعهم ويبعدهم عن الله حتى إذا أدى ذلك إلى الموت.
نعاني نحن أيضاً في حياتنا من الإغراءات و "الخطايا المحبوبة" والإدمان الذي يبعدنا عن السيد المسيح. وتُعد هذه أيضًا فرص لنا لإظهار ولائنا لله. هذا شكل من أشكال الاستشهاد في العصر الحديث. حيث نتخلص من إدمان شهوات الجسد وعدم الطهارة والقمار والنميمة والمخدرات.
إذا أردنا الحصول على تيجان الاستشهاد في العصر الحديث، فنحن أيضًا بحاجة إلى معرفة طرق الولاء لله وتجديد عهد الولاء له يومياً.
فلنستخدم الأسابيع القليلة الأخيرة من السنة القبطية كوقت للتأمل والتخطيط لنهضة روحية. نحتاج إلى تحديد الأشياء التي نقوم بها ويجب أن تتوقف، والأشياء التي نقوم بها ونحتاج إلى القيام بالمزيد منها، والأشياء التي لم نفعلها ويجب أن نبدأ في القيام بها، لإظهار محبتنا وولاءنا للسيد للمسيح ملكنا.

٣. مسابقة ماستر مايند بكنيسة سانت مارك القبطية
ستقيم كنيسة القديس مار مرقس مسابقة ماستر مايند القبطية هذا العام للصف الخامس والسادس الابتدائي للبنات والأولاد في ١٣ نوفمبر ٢٠٢٢. هذه فرصة ممتازة لطفلك للتعمق في دراسة الكتاب المقدس وتنمية حبهم للكلمة الله. استعدادًا للمسابقة، سيتم تقسيم الأطفال إلى فرق من أربعة أطفال وسيتم تدريبهم على مدار ٦ أسابيع.

٦.ترك بنود غير مرغوب فيها في الكنيسة
للأسف، ترك بعض الأشخاص ذوو النوايا الحسنة العديد من البنود في الكنيسة بغرض التبرع بها للكنيسة. ولكن ينتهي الأمر بالكنيسة إلى إنفاق الكثير من الموارد لإزالة هذه العناصر أو التخلص منها بشكل مناسب.
يُرجى عدم إحضار أي شيء للكنيسة إلا بعد الحصول على إذن من أحد الآباء وساعدونا في الحفاظ على نظافة كنيستنا وجمالها
٧.نداء مساعدة ضحايا حريق كنيسة القديس أبو سيفين
الإخوة والأخوات الأعزاء في المسيح، حصدت النار المدمرة التي اجتاحت كنيسة القديس أبو سيفين في إمبابة أرواح الكثيرين. لقد فقدت الكثير من العائلات أحباءها في هذا الحادث المروع. تم نداء مؤسسة الاتبا ونس لمساعدة الأطفال المحتاجين. تهدف مؤسسة الانبا ونس إلى تفعيل هذا النداء لجمع التبرعات لمساعدة الأطفال الذين تأثروا بفقدان أفراد عائلاتهم وبناء منشأة للأطفال لمساعدتهم في العثور على السلام والعزاء.
جميع التبرعات معفاة من الضرائب. اكتب اسمك و’Abusefein’ في خانة ‘Reference’.
