The first say…

 

This week I have been reading Scott Morrison’s new book- Plans For Your Good: A Prime Minister’s Testimony of God’s Faithfulness.

One of the experiences he describes as prime minister, is waking up each morning to his phone screaming at him with overnight messages, briefings, calls, schedule, emergency situations, all things demanding his urgent attention. He explains how at times he would be too afraid to wake up because he knew what would be waiting for him.

Until he made one small, but significant change. He decided that the first thing he would do when he wakes is to read the Bible. He said it made all the difference because it gave God the chance to have the very first say in his day. He would then be well equipped to face the challenges of the day.

I really liked this practice. Perhaps we can try this. Rather than grabbing our phones the first thing in the morning, let’s grab the Bible and give God the first say!

It will change the course of the day. A blessed day when God has the first say.

3. Request from the Church Fathers

 

It has come to our attention of cases of parishioners asking other parishioners for financial support.

If you are approached by an individual seeking financial support, please do not give any money directly but rather refer them to one of the Church fathers.

There is a system in place that can assess if the request is genuine, and the level of support required.

Please take note of the following guidelines when parking your car:

1. Avoid Parking Near Driveways or Corners: Always ensure that your vehicle does not block any driveways and that you avoid parking too close to corners, which can obstruct the view for other drivers and pedestrians.
2. Quiet Arrival and Departure: Please be as quiet as possible when arriving and leaving in your vehicles. This consideration will help maintain the tranquillity of our neighbourhood.
3. No Parking on Broe Avenue: Please observe the specific rule of not parking along Broe Avenue as this creates a traffic bottleneck which is dangerous.
4. Respect Neighbours’ Reserved Spots: Some neighbours may place bins or other markers to reserve parking spots for their households. Out of respect for their needs and requests, please do not move these markers or park in these reserved spots.

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية

يقدم رسالة هذا الاسبوع قدس ابونا مارك،

 

 الكلمة الأولى ….

 

كنت أقرأ هذا الاسبوع كتاب “سكوت موريسون” الجديد ” خطط من أجل خيرك”: وهو شهادة من رئيس وزراء عن أمانة الله.

أحد اختباراته التي يصفها كرئيساً للوزراء، هو الاستيقاظ كل صباح وهاتفه يصيح في وجهه بالرسائل التي تسلمها بالليل، إحاطات، مكالمات، جداول، حالات الطوارئ وكلها اشياء تتطلب منه الانتباه العاجل. ويشرح كيف في بعض الأحيان يشعر بالخوف من الاستيقاظ لأنه لا يعلم ما ينتظره. حتى قام بعمل تغيير صغير ولكن فعًال. لقد قرر أن يكون أول ما يفعله عندما يستيقظ هو أن يقرأ الإنجيل. ويقول رئيس الوزراء إن هذا أحدث فرقاً كبيراً لأنه بهذا الفعل قد أعطى الله الفرصة أن يكون له الكلمة الأولى في هذا اليوم. حينئذ اصبح مُعد لمواجهة تحديات اليوم. لقد اعجبني بالفعل هذا السلوك. ربما يمكننا أن نجربه. فبدلاً من ان نمسك بهواتفنا اول شيء في الصباح، فلنمسك بالإنجيل ونعطي الله الكلمة الأولى! سيغير هذا من مسار اليوم. عندما يكون لله الكلمة الأولى، سيكون اليوم مملوء بالبركة.

 

٢. طلب من الآباء

لقد لاحظنا حالات يطلب فيها بعض أفراد الشعب من غيرهم من الشعب مساعدات مالية. إذا طلب منك أحد مساعدة مالية من فضلك لا تعطيه المال مباشرةً بل أرسله إلى أحد الآباء. هناك نظام لتقييم هذه الطلبات ومعرفة مدى صدقها ومدى المساعدة المطلوبة. شكراً لتفهمكم.

 

٣.  معسكر مبادرة سانت مارك الصحية

الزمان: ٥-٧ يوليو ٢٠٢٤

المكان: بيت الانترانس

من: أي فرد يرغب في إنقاص وزنه

هذه دعوة للانضمام إلى أعضاء الكنيسة الحريصون على إنقاص وزنهم، بتوجيه من متخصصين في مجال الصحة وخبراء ومدربين لتحسين الصحة العامة.

تنظم كنيسة سانت مارك لشعب الكنيسة هذه الفرصة الفريدة من الشركة معاً، لقضاء وقت قيم والاشتراك في أنشطة روحية وبدنية.

سيُقام قداس يوم الجمعة في الكنيسة، ثم يوم السبت في الكنيسة بالانترانس. سنصلي معاً يوم الأحد، سنرتل ونتشارك بعض تعاليم الكتاب المقدس. سنقيم صلاة باكر وغروب من الأجبية.

التكلفة ٥٠ دولار في الليلة وستشمل الانتقالات والإقامة ووجبات تساعد على إنقاص الوزن.

٦. تذكرة عن أماكن انتظار السيارات

يُرجى الانتباه إلى الإرشادات التالية: 

 

تجنب ركن السيارات بجوار مداخل المنازل أو بجانب زوايا الشارع: تأكد دائماً من عدم سد أي مداخل/مخارج المنازل والامتناع عن الركن بالقرب من زوايا الشارع حيث يتم حجب الرؤية لغيرك من سائقي السيارات والمشاة.

الوصول والمغادرة الهادئة: يُرجى التزام الهدوء على قدر الإمكان عند الوصول إلى الكنيسة وعند مغادرتها. سيساعد هذا الحرص على الاحتفاظ بهدوء وسلام منطقتنا.

عدم الركن في Broe Avenue: يُرجى الحرص على عدم ركن السيارات في Broe Avenue مما يسبب اختناق مروري وهو أمر خطير.

احترام الأماكن المحجوزة الخاصة بالجيران. قد يضع بعض الجيران صناديق القمامة أو غيرها لحجز أماكن لسياراتهم. ينبغي احترام احتياجاتهم ورغباتهم، يرجى عدم تحريك هذه العلامات وعدم الركن في الأماكن المحجوزة.
