Contemplation (verse 1-2)
“The Passover was not just a historical event but a prophecy of Christ’s redemption. The lamb, without blemish, represents the purity of Christ. Its blood, painted on the doorposts, prefigures the power of the blood of Christ in baptism and salvation. The command to eat the lamb fully signifies our full communion with Christ in the Eucharist. Thus, in the Passover, we see the mystery of Christ’s suffering, His blood saving us from eternal death, and His life given to us as true food.”

How can I ever deserve Christ’s sacrifice for me

Lord, I thank you for your immense love, that you offer yourself on the Cross to save me personally, without me deserving it.
