Contemplation (verse 2)
He dwelt in Galilee, in order to shine a great light on those walking in the darkness. Let those sitting in the darkness of ignorance see the great perfection of knowledge. “Old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5: 17) The letter is no more; the spirit is now dominant. The shadows vanished, and the Truth came to them.

Personal Reflection
Pondering verses 2, 6 & 7, what picture do they paint of me, Christ, and His kingdom?
Bible Knowledge Question
We pray the words “Rise children of light” somewhere in the Agpia and in the Tasbeha, where exactly? What is the significance of the timing of these prayers?
Prayer
Lord, You have called us to rise, to be children of Your light. Don’t let me ignore the battle against sin. Help me answer Your call, help me rise from my spiritual and physical slumber. Don’t let me walk in darkness after You’ve freed me, don’t let me be tempted to submit to the evil one. You told us we will call You “Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”. Show me You are all of those things to me as I walk in Your light. Amen.
