Spiritual Message of the Day 16/1

Metropolitan Anthony Bloom once said, “Too often Christians have the habit whenever a problem or danger arises of turning to the Lord and crying, “Lord protect us, save us, fight for us.”

What is wrong with that you may be thinking. There is of course nothing wrong, but opportunity for something better.

Metropolitan Anthony Bloom goes on to explain, “It is for us to be Christ’s presence on earth, sometimes victorious sometimes crucified. Everything is possible to us in the power of Christ, but it is for us to shed our blood, now it is for us to struggle and sweat.”

Dear Lord, please be near me in my struggle. Perhaps it is time for me to be crucified, perhaps resurrected. Open up my eyes to see the difference and my heart to accept peacefullu Your will.
