1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father Mark:
I read a quote recently from an unknown author that was quite profound:
“When God wanted to create fish, he spoke to the sea. When God wanted to create trees, he spoke to the earth. But when God wanted to create man, He turned to Himself. Then God said: ‘Let us make man in our image and our likeness.’ If we take a fish out of the water it will die; and when we remove a tree from the earth, it will similarly die. Likewise, when a man is disconnected from GOD, he dies.”
Lent is a time to reconnect with our Creator. To find our ourselves again in Him. To feel alive once more.

Daily liturgies Monday – Friday:

As some of you may be aware, we have subscribed and configured a new Church Information Management System ( Chmeetings). You may have received an email from St Mark Coptic Orthodox Church inviting you to update your details. 9. St Mark’s Fellowship Parent’s Seminar – this Sunday 26 February
St Marks Family Fellowship is excited to invite all parents of year 11 students to a Parent’s Seminar to be held on 26th February at 11am on the topic of “How to better support our teens in the senior years” with Father Mark. Further details can be found in the poster below.

13. Interstate Students Service
Dear beloved parents of students studying interstate:
By the Grace of God, we are expanding the interstate service this year to include all locations that our youth go to study. This service not only includes serving the interstate students, but creates a loving community amongst the parents by which we can support them through the unfamiliar experience of having a child living away from home. As such we would like to gather the details of as many interstate parents as possible, so that we may notify you regarding interstater parents events where you can discuss your concerns and how the church is serving your child whilst they are away and so that you are able to contact us if you have any specific concerns about your child or how we can serve them better.

16. St Mark’s Church – School of Academic Excellence
St Mark’s Church is introducing a wonderful new initiative for both Primary and early High School students. St Mark’s Church School of Academic Excellence operates every Friday night from 6:30pm to 7:30pm with subjects including: Literacy, Maths and General Ability. Please register your interest to attend the classes via the Google form. Please see the poster below.
Dear Parents of years 11 and 12 students: St Marks Academy of Excellence will continue to offer tutoring for Year 11 and 12 by dedicated servants. Please find further information on the attached poster and please register as soon as possible as tutoring will begin the week of 27th February.

١٣.خدمة الطلبة الذين يدرسون في ولايات خارج ولاية نيو ساوث ويلز
أولياء أمور الطلاب الذين يدرسون بين الولايات الأعزاء:
بنعمة ربنا، سنقوم بتوسيع الخدمة بين الولايات هذا العام لتشمل جميع المناطق التي يذهب إليها شبابنا/ شباتنا للدراسة. لن تشمل هذه الخدمة خدمة الطلاب فحسب، بل العمل أيضاً تشمل خلق مجتمعًا محبًا بين أولياء الأمور يمكننا من خلاله دعمهم وسط هذه التجربة غير المألوفة المتمثلة في إقامة شاب/ شابة بعيدًا عن المنزل. ولذلك، نود أن نجمع بيانات أكبر عدد ممكن من الآباء والأمهات الذين لديهم شباب يدرس خارج الولاية التي يقيمون فيها، حتى نتمكن من إخطارهم بالمناسبات التي تجمع هؤلاء حيث يمكنهم مناقشة مخاوفهم وكيف تخدم الكنيسة أبنائهم وبناتهم أثناء تواجدهم بعيدًا ويتمكنوا أيضاً من الاتصال بنا إذا كان لديهم أي مخاوف محددة بشأن أبنائهم وبناتهم أو اي اقتراح يمكننا به خدمتهم بشكل أفضل.
