Dear All,
Please note the following 12 announcements and reminders:
1.Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father David:
I have no hands but yours
In the mid-1900s, there was a doctor named Tom Dooley who was raising funds for his missionary hospital in Southeast Asia. He had terminal cancer and didn’t have long to live. Whilst in America, he received a letter from the junior doctors he trained in the mission hospital. The letter said, “We need you here. But while you are gone, we are the fingers of your hands to heal the sick. We are your ears to hear their cries of pain. We are your heart to love them.”
This is what Jesus asks each of us to do.
We need to be Christ to everyone we meet.
We need to be Christ’s hands on this earth to heal the sick people around us, to restore sight to those blinded by the temporary pleasures of this world and be the light that shines upon the Christian way of life in someone’s world who is confused about making the right choices.
We need to have a Christ-like heart, which is ready to give others the benefit of the doubt, and to forgive and love, even those who may falsely accuse us.
There is a beautiful statue of Jesus with His hands removed and a description of Him saying “I have no hands but yours.”
Being a Christian is a responsibility to become the heart and hands of Christ in our world today.
