1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message for this week by Father Jonathan:
Spiritual tips for the Holy 50 days:
1. Continuously rejoice for the resurrected Christ. Focus to rejoice more by His Resurrection than by food cravings.
2. Join the resurrection procession during the mass either by holding a candle and joining the deacons (if the attendants are few in numbers), or by joining in the hymns with your whole heart in spiritual joy.
3. Keep a picture of the resurrection before you as much as you can, whether a small photo in your office or a larger icon in your home with a light on it. We provide in the church bookshop many photos and icons for the resurrection in different forms and sizes.
4. Seek spiritual growth in deep knowledge of the resurrected Christ. You can reach that by listening to sermons about resurrection or reading spiritual books.
5. Seek spiritual growth also by reading the Bible, especially St Paul’s Epistles. Read daily two chapters from St Paul’s Epistles.
By doing the above, be sure you will enter into a new depth in knowing the spiritual gifts hidden in Christ’s resurrection.
May the joy of the resurrection touch our hearts with hope and peace to trust in our victorious Shepherd.

3. Invitation for St Mark’s Congregation
Dear beloved St Mark’s family,
Please join us on Saturday the 29th of May for the Christening of Hannah (Fr Elijah’s daughter) and the Christening of Joy (Fr Mark’s daughter).
Join us for Liturgy at 8:30am followed by the sacraments and breakfast in the hall. Fr Yacoub, Fr Augustinos, Fr Jonathan and Fr Michael have prepared special food and gifts for all. Your presence will complete our family gathering of love.

4. Church trip to St Shenouda Monastery – Saturday 26 June
Tickets $10 (to be donated to the monastery). Please buy your ticket from the bookshop. Limited number of tickets.
5. St Mark Family Fellowship
St Mark Family Fellowship welcomes families with children of all ages – from Crèche to High school.
An opportunity to meet new families or actually get to know those that you are always bumping into. May we grow together in Christ – learning and supporting each other through our journey as parents and experience Him as a family.
This a new English service at St Marks to complement our existing service for Arabic speaking families. All families are welcome to attend.
We hope to curate a series of outings and workshops – whether they be open fun or age specific events. With your feedback we hope to continue to shape our fellowship events to suit our evolving needs.
First Workshop: My Family Matters: 5 – 7pm, Saturday 5 June

١. أفرح أكثر بالمسيح القائم وعطية الحياة الأبدية وليس بالشهوة الجائحة للطعام
٢. اسعى لان تنمو روحيا بالمعرفة العميقة عن المسيح القائم. تصل الى ذلك بقراءة رسائل بولس الرسول.
٣. اقرأ يوميا اصحاحين من رسائل بولس الرسول وتأكد أنك ستدخل الى عمق جديد في معرفة عطية المسيح القائم.
٤. اشترك فى زفة القيامة خلال القداس الإلهي اما بأن تمسك شمعة وتدور مع الشمامسة في زفة القيامة (لو عدد الحاضرين قليل) او الاشتراك في الحان القيامة بكل مشاعرك من الفرح الروحي.
٥. خلى صورة القيامة امامك أكبر وقت ممكن. أما صورة صغيرة على مكتبك او ايقونة اكبر في بيتك و امامها نور. وفرنا لك في مكتبة الكنيسة انواع واحجام كثيرة لصورة او ايقونة القيامة..
يا رب افراح القيامة تلمس قلوبنا جميعا بالرجاء والسلام في الاتكال على راعينا المنتصر.

٣.دعوة إلى شعب كنيسة مارمرقس
عائلات كنيسة مارمرقس المباركين، نرجو مشاركتكم لنا يوم السبت ٢٩ مايو في تنصير "هنّا" (بنت ابونا إيلايجا)، وتنصير "جوي" بنت ابونا مارك.
شاركونا صلاة القداس الساعة ٨:٣٠ صباحاً ثم الأسرار ثم الفطار في القاعة. قام ابونا يعقوب وابونا أوغسطينوس وابونا جوناثان وابونا مايكل بإعداد طعام خاص وهدايا للجميع. حضوركم سيكمل تجمع عائلاتنا في المحبة.

٥.رحلة الكنيسة إلى دير الأنبا شنودة يوم السبت ٢٦ يونيو
التذاكر ١٠ دولار (يتم التبرع بها للدير). يُرجى شراء التذاكر من المكتبة. عدد التذاكر محدود.
٦.خدمة المودة الأسرية بكنيسة مارمرقس
ترحب خدمة المودة الاسرية بكنيسة مارمرقس بالعائلات وأطفالهم من كل الأعمار – من الرضع إلى الصفوف الثانوية.
فرصة لمقابلة عائلات جديدة أو التعرف بالفعل على من تمر بهم في الكنيسة. نصلي أن ننمو معاً في المسيح – نعلم وندعم بعضنا البعض خلال رحلتنا كأولياء أمور ونختبر السيد المسيح كأسرة.
هذه خدمة جديدة للعائلات التي تتحدث اللغة الإنجليزية بمار مرقس لتكمل خدمتنا الحالية للعائلات التي تتحدث اللغة العربية. نرحب بحضور كل العائلات.
نأمل في تنظيم سلسلة من النزهات وورش العمل- سواء ترفيهية للجميع أو مناسبات محددة حسب الأعمار. من خلال آرائكم نأمل أن نستمر في تشكيل مناسبات للمودة تتناسب مع احتياجاتنا المتطورة
