1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father Augustinos:
On Sunday we celebrate the feast of Pentecost.
Zacharias the father of St John the Baptist prophesised at the birth of St John and said in Luke 1:68 “Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, For He has visited and redeemed His people.”
The incarnated God in Jesus Christ came, visited, and lived among His people.
When Christ ascended to the heavens the glory of glories, God then sent His Spirit at Pentecost to dwell in His people, as it was prophesised by the Prophet Joel 2:28 "That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh."
St Louis IX King of France 1226 to 1270, When his child was baptised immediately after the baptism he kissed the heart of his child and said "hello my Lord Jesus Christ". It is so beautiful to know that God lives with us and in us every second of our lives. We take Him with us everywhere we go, He sees what we see, hears what we say and hear, and He knows what we think. This should drive us to make the effort to please Him every minute of our lives and by doing this then the Grace of God will be bestowed upon us through the work of the Holy Spirit in us and we will experience a deep feeling within us of Gods peace, love, compassion, mercy, and His glory.
We live in a world that encourages addiction in many forms and bad habits that are difficult to overcome, they can only be overcome by the Grace of God that will work through the Holy Spirit within us. How?
1. First step, we need to want to give up the addiction or bad habits.
2. Then sincere repentance but beware that Satan will put the urges and they will be strong.
3. Confession and accountability weekly to your confession father.
4. Have Holy communion and attend liturgies as much as possible, immerse yourself with the body and blood of our Lord Jesus.
5. In time the Grace of God will come and deliver you from the addiction or bad habits.
6. There is no other way except by the Grace of God that will deliver you and transform you and wipe away even the thought of the sin.
2. Feast of Pentecost Sunday 12 June
This Sunday 12 June (only) the English church will begin Liturgy at 8am.
3. Apostles Fast
The Apostles fast begins this Monday 13 June and ends July 12.
4. Feast of Martyrdom of St Absarkhiron El Alini – Vesper 7pm on Monday 13
Vesper for the feast of Martyrdom of St Absarkhiron El Alini is on Monday 13th June at 7pm to 8:30pm.
There will be Vesper, glorification, changing of the Spices for his Relics, short talk, gifts, and light refreshments.
5. St Shenouda Monastery Trip
A trip to St Shenouda monastery has been organised on Saturday 25th June for St Mark’s congregation. Buses will be leaving St Mark’s church at 7am sharp.
Please purchase the tickets from the bookshop. The $10 ticket will be a donation to the Monastery.
6. St Mark High School Boys Club – Tonight Friday 10 June
7 – 9pm, for Boys Years 7 – 10.

7. We are ready to help: The Second Mile service @ St Mark
Second Mile services include visitation and prayers, help with doctor and hospital appointments, and help with groceries.

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية:
يقدم رسالة هذا الأسبوع قدس أبونا أوغسطينوس
نحتفل يوم الأحد بعيد حلول الروح القدس.
تنبأ زكريا والد القديس يوحنا المعمدان عند ولادة القديس يوحنا، وقال في لوقا ١:٦٨ "مُبَارَكٌ الرَّبُّ إِلهُ إِسْرَائِيلَ لأَنَّهُ افْتَقَدَ وَصَنَعَ فِدَاءً لِشَعْبِهِ،"
لقد افتقد الله المتجسد بيسوع المسيح شعبه وعاش بينهم.
عندما صعد المسيح إلى السماء إلى مجد الأمجاد، أرسل الله روحه في يوم الخمسين ليسكن في شعبه، كما تنبأ يوئيل النبي ٢:٢٨
"أَنِّي أَسْكُبُ رُوحِي عَلَى كُلِّ بَشَرٍ"
القديس لويس التاسع ملك فرنسا من ١٢٢٦ إلى ١٢٧٠، عندما تعمد طفله، قام بعد المعمودية مباشرة بتقبيل قلب طفله وقال "مرحباً ربي يسوع المسيح". جميل جدًا أن نعرف أن الله يعيش معنا وفينا في كل ثانية من حياتنا. نأخذه معنا في كل مكان نذهب إليه، فهو يرى ما نراه، ويسمع ما نقوله ونسمعه، ويعرف ما نفكر فيه. يجب أن يدفعنا هذا إلى بذل الجهد لإرضائه في كل دقيقة من حياتنا، ومن خلال القيام بذلك، ستفيض نعمة الله علينا من خلال عمل الروح القدس فينا وسنختبر شعورًا عميقًا داخلنا من سلام الله ومحبته وعطفه ورحمته ومجده
نحن نعيش في عالم يشجع على الإدمان بأشكال عديدة وعادات سيئة يصعب التغلب عليها، ولا يمكن التغلب عليها إلا بنعمة الله التي ستعمل من خلال الروح القدس فينا. كيف؟
١. الخطوة الأولى، نريد أن نتخلى عن الإدمان أو العادات السيئة.
٢. ثم التوبة الصادقة ولكن احذر من أن الشيطان سيضع الرغبات الملحة وستكون قوية.
٣. الاعتراف والمحاسبة الأسبوعية مع أب اعترافك.
٤. التناول من الأسرار المقدسة وحضور القداسات على قدر الإمكان، واغمر نفسك بجسد ربنا يسوع المسيح ودمه.
٥. في الوقت المناسب ستأتي نعمة الله وتخلصك من الإدمان أو العادات السيئة.
٦. لا يوجد طريق آخر إلا نعمة الله التي ستنقذك وتغيرك وتمحو حتى فكرة الخطيئة.
