1. Weekly Spiritual Message
Spiritual message of the week by Father Michael:
Our greatest gifts are not visible.
We normally put value on the gifts that we receive, whether it is material or sentimental.
If we accept these gifts, there is an obligation on our part to do something with it. It requires some sort of response or action on our part.
Our Lord’s gifts to us, seems beyond our understanding.
A new life that has the capacity to reach paradise, to spend eternity with God. Trust, forgiveness and love, they are not tangible things. They cannot be purchased at a store.
How do we respond to these gifts that we receive from the Lord? That we could never acquire on our own, that are not earned or even deserved.
The gifts themselves cannot be seen. But the effect can.
We can respond, by living the life of thanksgiving, by passing these gifts on. By showing love and forgiveness. By sharing them with others.
Isaiah 12:4
"And that day you will say:
"Praise the Lord, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, make mention that His name is exalted"
2. Feast of St Mark
Join us on Tuesday 8 November at 7pm. With HG Bishop Daniel in attendance, there will be vesper, choir, procession, a talk and aghapi, as we celebrate our beloved patron saint.
3. Feast of St Wanas
We plan to publish a new book for St Wanas with Miracles and acts of love soon.

Join us for the St Wanas Feast Celebration on Saturday 19 November at 6:30pm in the St Wanas Church.
There will be Vesper, gifts, food and dessert, to celebrate this wonderful saint.
4. Relaunch of St Mark’s Education Centre – classes start this Monday 24/10!
The church is excited to announce the relaunch of St Marks Education Centre.
The centre is a tutoring service for Year 11 and 12 Students in a number of subjects and offered by qualified servants in the church.
There will be no tuition fees, but we ask that students, instead, consider donating a small amount to the St Wanas Foundation each class.
Lessons will be held in the Habib Girguis Building and upcoming classes are as follows:
Lessons for Statistics and Probability, Biology and Maths will begin on the week of Monday 24 October 2022.
Lessons for Chemistry will begin on the week of 7 November 2022. For the weeks beginning 28 November 2022 and 5 December 2022, Chemistry will be held on Thursdays those weeks.
At this stage the classes will run during school term, but individual tutors may decide to continue classes during the school holidays, subject to their availability. We will advise students of any future holiday classes that may arise.

5. Women at the Well
If you’re a mum with a bub – make sure to show up to the Women at the Well – a mothers group for any mum! Find encouragement and support in the church family with other like-minded mums.
We meet at 10:30am every Tuesday at St Mark’s Church.
6. New Eve Girls Prayer Meeting
We would like to invite all HSC girls, servants, and their mums to the weekly New Eve Prayer meeting in the Kids church.
It runs on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30pm for an hour of shared prayer and devotion with a short talk on the PSALMS. See the poster!
These next two weeks are the perfect line up as we have Marc Bastwarous this week and Fr David the following week.
7. All ages – Lion’s Cup soccer competition is back!
For HSC graduates and above.

8. HG Bishop Raphael visit – Monday 7 November
HG Bishop Rafael will pray the Holy Mass with us Monday 7 November at 8:30am. Come and invite others to take the blessing.

9. St Mark’s Church Studies – Term 2 has just started!

عادة ما نقيّم الهدايا التي نتلقاها، سواء كانت مادية أو عاطفية.
إذا قبلنا هذه الهدايا، فهناك التزام من جانبنا للقيام بشيء ما بها. إنه أمر يتطلب نوعًا من الاستجابة أو العمل من جانبنا.
تبدو هدايا ربنا لنا فوق إدراكنا.
حياة جديدة تمكنك من الوصول إلى السماء، وقضاء الأبدية مع الله. إن الثقة والمغفرة والمحبة ليست أشياء ملموسة. ولا يمكن شراؤها من المتاجر.
كيف نتجاوب مع هذه الهدايا التي نتلقاها من الرب؟ هذا أمر لا يمكننا أن نكتسبه بمفردنا، ولا نكسبه أو نستحقه.
هذه الهدايا نفسها لا يمكن رؤيتها. لكن يمكن رؤية تأثيرها.
يمكن الاستجابة، من خلال أن نحيا حياة الشكر، من خلال أن نقدم هذه الهدايا إلى غيرنا. بإظهار المحبة والتسامح. من خلال مشاركتها مع الآخرين.

٣.افتتاح مركز سانت مارك التعليمي
تُسر الكنيسة بالإعلان عن افتتاح مركز سانت مارك التعليمي.
يقدم المركز خدمة التدريس لطلبة الصف الحادي عشر والصف الثاني عشر في العديد من المواد ويقدمها مجموعة من خدام الكنيسة المؤهلين.
لا يوجد رسوم للدروس، ولكن نطلب من الطلبة بدلاً من دفع الرسوم، التبرع بمبلغ صغير إلى مؤسسة أنبا ونس الخيرية.
ستقام الدروس في مبنى حبيب جرجس والفصول القادمة هي كما يلي:
تبدأ الدروس في الإحصاء والاحتمالات والاحياء والرياضيات يوم ٢٤ أكتوبر ٢٠٢٢.
تبدأ الدروس في الكيمياء يوم ٧ نوفمبر.
ستُعقد دروس الكيمياء كل يوم خميس في الأسابيع بين ٢٨ نوفمبر و٥ ديسمبر.
في هذه المرحلة، ستدار الدروس خلال الفصل الدراسي، ولكن قد يختار بعض المدرسين ان يديروا الدروس خلال العطلة الدراسية حسب تواجدهم. سنخبر الطلبة بأي دروس مستقبلية قد تتوافر خلال العطلات.

إذا كنتِ ام ومعكِ طفل رضيع- احرسي على حضور اجتماع "نساء عند البئر"- وهو عبارة عن مجموعة من الأمهات ويناسب أي أم! ستجدي التشجيع والدعم في عائلات الكنيسة مع أمهات متشابهة في التفكير
نجتمع كل ثلاثاء الساعة ١٠:٣٠ صباحاً بكنيسة سانت مارك.
