Week 2025

Please find the timetable of church services during passion week below.

Wattle Grove Bus Service:

A daily bus from Wattle Grove to St Mark’s Church will be operating during passion week from Palm Sunday until glorious Thursday.

Each night the bus will depart from Wattle Grove (from the front of St Mark’s College) at 6pm. The bus will leave St Mark’s church to return to Wattle Grove half an hour after the end of the service.

On Good Friday, the bus will depart from Wattle Grove at 8:30am.

3. Palm weaving Request

A call out from the Palm Weaving servants – they need the talent of servants who can weave palms for the church with the group on Friday 11/4 and Saturday 12/4.

6. In the Shadow of the Cross night

Friday 11 April 2025

“For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” (Hebrews 2:18)

As we approach the last Friday of Lent, we prepare our hearts for Holy Week, fixing our eyes on the cross of Christ—just as He fixed His gaze on our salvation.

Let us come together and abide with our Savior “in the shadow of the cross” on Friday, April 11, at 7:30 PM, in a special spiritual vigil titled “He Aids Those Who Are Tempted.”

Children’s ministry service will also begin at 7:30 PM. We warmly invite you to join us for this sacred time of reflection and prayer.

Important Reminders:

• Parking: Please do not park on Broe Ave, in driveways, or on street corners. The council is actively issuing fines for violations.
• Noise: Let’s be mindful of our surroundings and keep noise levels low, especially at night, out of respect for our neighbours.

11. Parking Guidelines –

Please take care of our neighbours

Please take note of the following guidelines when parking your car and take care of our neighbours:

Avoid Parking Near Driveways or Corners: Always ensure that your vehicle does not block any driveways and that you avoid parking too close to corners, which can obstruct the view for other drivers and pedestrians.

Quiet Arrival and Departure: Please be as quiet as possible when arriving and leaving in your vehicles. This consideration will help maintain the tranquillity of our neighbourhood.

No Parking on Broe Avenue: Please observe the specific rule of not parking along Broe Avenue as this creates a traffic bottleneck which is dangerous.

Respect Neighbours’ Reserved Spots: Some neighbours may place bins or other markers to reserve parking spots for their households. Out of respect for their needs and requests, please do not move these markers or park in these reserved spots.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding. Should you have any concerns or require assistance regarding parking, please feel free to contact the church office.

12.Car Park Closure Notice

Please note that the church car park will be closed every night from 11:00 PM, except on Fridays and Saturdays, when it will close at 12:00 midnight.

Safwat Nashed Tanios

Our Dear beloved Father, Brother and Uncle Deacon Safwat Nashed Tanios was joyfully received to heaven today, Thursday 10th April 2025.

Safwat is the husband of Samia Tanios and the father of Morah Tanios.

He is the brother of Deacon Wagdy Nashed Tanios and his wife Viola Tanios, the Late Deacon William Nashed Tanios and his wife the Late Laurice Tanios, Ruth Tanios and her husband Shawky Tanios, Julia Gadelrabb and her husband Adel Gadelrabb.

Cousin to George Tanios and his wife Marlyne Tanios. Naeem Tanios and his wife Entessar Tanios. Alfy and Marcel Youssef. Uncle to Trevor Tanios, Christopher Gadelrabb, Jennifer Gadelrabb, Andrew Tanios, James Tanios, John Tanios, George Youssef, Marianne Girgis, Emmanuel Tanios, Jonathan Tanios, Sarah Hanna and Juliana Tanios.

Condolences will be received tonight [Thursday 10th April 2025]  at St Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church, Arncliffe from 7pm-8pm in Arabic Church.

Funeral will he held at St Mark’s Coptic Orthodox Church, Arncliffe, on Saturday, 12th April 2025, at 10 am.

Burial afterwards at Rookwood Cemetery at 12pm followed by 3rd day prayers at St Marks Church hall.

 خدمة الاتوبيس من واتل جروف: ستعمل خدمة الاتوبيس يومياً من واتل جروف إلى كنيسة القديس مارمرقس خلال اسبوع الآلام من أحد الشعانين وحتى خميس العهد.

سيتحرك الاتوبيس كل مساء من واتل جروف ( من امام سانت مارك كوليدج) الساعة 6م

سيتحرك الاتوبيس من كنيسة القديس مارمرقس للعودة إلى واتل جروف بعد نصف ساعة من انتهاء الخدمة.

يوم الجمعة العظيمة، سيغادر الاتوبيس من واتل جروف الساعة 8:30 ص

انضم إلينا في أمسيتنا السنوية “أنتِ مُشفى” من أبر روم ميديا! تعال واختبر ليلة صلاة وترانيم حية من أبر روم ميديا. هذه الأمسية هي وقت للشفاء والتأمل والتجديد، بينما نمضي في رحلة الصوم المقدس نحو أسبوع الآلام. اترك أخطاء الماضي، وانطلق من جديد في حضرة الرب الشافي. سيتم تسجيل الحدث مباشرةً. تُفتح الأبواب الساعة 7 مساءً، ليبدأ الحدث الساعة 7:30 مساءً. نراكم جميعًا هناك!

٥.في ظل الصليب – 11 أبريل

“لأَنَّهُ فِي مَا هُوَ قَدْ تَأَلَّمَ مُجَرَّبًا يَقْدِرُ أَنْ يُعِينَ الْمُجَرَّبِينَ.”

ونوصل لآخر جمعه فى الصيام ونلاقى نفسنا بنرتب لأسبوع الآلام و نثبت أعينا لصليب المسيح كما ثبت المسيح نظره الى خلاصنا على الصليب

هلم نخرج سويا ولو لبضع ساعات نمكث مع مخلصنا ” *فى ظل الصليب* ” يوم الجمعه ١١/ ٤ الساعه ٧:٣٠م، في سهرة روحيه بعنوان “يُعِينَ الْمُجَرَّبِينَ”  تعالوا وشاركونا.

١٠.    إعلان عن غلق موقف سيارات

 يُرجى العلم بأن سيتم غلق موقف السيارات بالكنيسة كل ليلة الساعة ١١:٠٠ مساءً، باستثناء يومي الجمعة والسبت، حيث سيُغلق الساعة ١٢:٠٠ منتصف الليل. نرجو من الجميع التخطيط وفقًا لذلك. شكرًا لكم!

 ١١.  إرشادات عن ركن السيارات

يُرجى الانتباه إلى الإرشادات التالية عند ركن سيارتك ومراعاة الجيران

تجنب ركن السيارات بجوار مداخل المنازل أو بجانب زوايا الشارع: تأكد دائماً من عدم سد أي مداخل/مخارج المنازل والامتناع عن الركن بالقرب من زوايا الشارع حيث يتم حجب الرؤية لغيرك من سائقي السيارات والمشاة.

الوصول والمغادرة الهادئة: يُرجى التزام الهدوء على قدر الإمكان عند الوصول إلى الكنيسة وعند مغادرتها. سيساعد هذا الحرص على الاحتفاظ بهدوء وسلام منطقتنا.

عدم الركن في Broe Avenue: يُرجى الحرص على عدم ركن السيارات في Broe Avenue مما يسبب اختناق مروري وهو أمر خطير.

احترام الأماكن المحجوزة الخاصة بالجيران. قد يضع بعض الجيران صناديق القمامة أو غيرها لحجز أماكن لسياراتهم. ينبغي احترام احتياجاتهم ورغباتهم، يرجى عدم تحريك هذه العلامات وعدم الركن في الأماكن المحجوزة.

المرحوم صفوت هو زوج السيدة سامية طانيوس، ووالد السيدة مورا طانيوس.

وهو شقيق الشماس وجدي ناشد طانيوس وزوجته فيولا طانيوس، والشماس الراحل ويليام ناشد طانيوس وزوجته الراحلة لوريس طانيوس، وراعوث طانيوس وزوجها شوقي طانيوس، وجوليا جاد الرب وزوجها عادل جاد الرب..

وخال لتريفور طانيوس، كريستوفر جاد الرب، جنيفر جاد الرب، وعم أندرو طانيوس، جيمس طانيوس، وخال چون طانيوس، جورج يوسف، وعم ماريان جرجس، جوناثان طانيوس، إيمانويل طانيوس، وچوليانا طانيوس وابن عمة مارسيل يوسف زوجة الفّي يوسف وسارة حنا،.

العزاء يُستقبل الليلة في كنيسة مارمرقس القبطية الأرثوذكسية – أرنكليف، من الساعة ٧ مساءً حتى ٨ مساءً.

القداس الجنائزي سيُقام في نفس الكنيسة يوم السبت ١٢ أبريل ٢٠٢٥ الساعة ١٠ صباحًا.
