Our sense of smell is a profound gift from God, playing a vital role in our daily lives.

Having a blocked nose for just a few days can remind us of its importance. Our sense of smell keeps us safe by detecting danger, such as smoke or spoiled milk. It also brings us great joy, whether it’s the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, the scent of a newborn baby, or a fragrance that reminds us of a loved one.

Because we are intuitively aware of the power of smells, we take great care to ensure that we don’t smell bad! We maintain our personal hygiene, wear clean clothes, and use various products to preserve a pleasant scent. As Christians, however, we must remember to tend to our spiritual “smell” with the same diligence.

St. Paul writes, “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.” (2 Corinthians 2:14-15, NKJV)

When people “smell” us, they should “smell” Christ. They should smell His holiness, humility, forgiveness, peace, gentleness, love, kindness, goodness, and more. Here are some  practical things to consider:

• When washing your family’s clothes, pray earnestly for them that they may have the fragrance of Christ everywhere they go.
• Before leaving home, ask yourself if you’ve “put on” the fragrance of prayer not just perfume.
• When encountering an unpleasant smell, reflect on whether it might be coming from you, and consider your need for repentance.

May our lives be a sweet aroma that honors God and draws others to Him.

7. St Paul’s Service

St Paul service started two weeks ago – You will notice a few servants with blue vests walking around church. These servants are there to serve you and comfort you at church. They are also looking after our church and it’s peace by spreading love and care to you and others. Please help by supporting them with their services.  Nepal Youth Mission Trip

St Wanas Charity is embarking on a mission to Nepal at the end of this month, and we need your support to make it truly impactful.

 

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to provide essential food supplies for struggling families and bring joy to children with heartfelt gifts.

Please take note of the following guidelines when parking your car and take care of our neighbours:

Avoid Parking Near Driveways or Corners: Always ensure that your vehicle does not block any driveways and that you avoid parking too close to corners, which can obstruct the view for other drivers and pedestrians.

Quiet Arrival and Departure: Please be as quiet as possible when arriving and leaving in your vehicles. This consideration will help maintain the tranquillity of our neighbourhood.

No Parking on Broe Avenue: Please observe the specific rule of not parking along Broe Avenue as this creates a traffic bottleneck which is dangerous.

Respect Neighbours’ Reserved Spots: Some neighbours may place bins or other markers to reserve parking spots for their households. Out of respect for their needs and requests, please do not move these markers or park in these reserved spots.

إن حاسة الشم هي عطية عميقة من الله، تلعب دوراً حيوياً في حياتنا اليومية. إن عدم القدرة على الشم لبضعة أيام بسبب إنسداد الأنف يذكرنا بأهمية هذه الحاسة. إن حاسة الشم تحافظ على سلامتنا عن طريق اكتشاف الخطر مثل الدخان أو اللبن المسكوب. وتعطينا أيضاًَ فرح عظيم، سواء من رائحة القهوة الطازجة أو رائحة الرضيع حديث الولادة، أو رائحة تذكرنا بأحبائنا.

بسبب وعينا الطبيعي بقوة الروائح، نحرص جداً على عدم شم رائحة كريهة. فنحافظ على نظافتنا الشخصية، نرتدي ملابس نظيفة ونستخدم منتجات متنوعة للاحتفاظ برائحة جميلة. ومع ذلك، كمسيحينيجب أن نتذكر أن ننتبه إلى رائحتنا الروحية بنفس الجدية.

 يقول القديس بولس الرسول: “وَلكِنْ شُكْرًا للهِ الَّذِي يَقُودُنَا فِي مَوْكِبِ نُصْرَتِهِ فِي الْمَسِيحِ كُلَّ حِينٍ، وَيُظْهِرُ بِنَا رَائِحَةَ مَعْرِفَتِهِ فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ.لأَنَّنَا رَائِحَةُ الْمَسِيحِ الذَّكِيَّةِ للهِ، فِي الَّذِينَ يَخْلُصُونَ وَفِي الَّذِينَ يَهْلِكُونَ.” ( 2كورونثوس 2: 14- 15)

عندما يشتم الناس “رائحتنا”، ينبغي أن يشتموا “رائحة” السيد المسيح. ينبغي أن يشتموا القداسة والتواضع والتسامح والسلام واللطف والمحبة والخير والمزيد. فيما يلي بعض التدريبات العملية لنضعها في الاعتبار:

عند غسيل ملابس أفراد عائلتك، صلي بحرارة من أجلهم حتى يكون لديهم رائحة السيد المسيح في كل شئ يقومون به.

قبل مغادرة بيتك، اسأل نفسك إذا كنت قد ” وضعت” رائحة الصلاة وليس فقط رائحة العطر

عند تعرضك لرائحة كريهة، فكر لعلها صادرة منك، واعرف أنك تحتاج إلى التوبة.

ندعو أن تكون حياتنا رائحة ذكية تمجد الله وتجذب الآخرين إليه.

تستعد مؤسسة انبا ونس الخيرية لرحلتها التبشيرية إلى نيبال في نهاية الشهر الحالي، ونحتاج إلى دعمكم لنحدث تغيير ملحوظ. نهدف إلى جمع 10،000 دولار لتوفير المستلزمات الرئيسية من طعام لعائلات تعاني وإسعاد الأطفال بهدية تلمس قلوبهم.

١٢.إرشادات عن ركن السيارات

يُرجى الانتباه إلى الإرشادات التالية عند ركن سيارتك ومراعاة الجيران

تجنب ركن السيارات بجوار مداخل المنازل أو بجانب زوايا الشارع: تأكد دائماً من عدم سد أي مداخل/مخارج المنازل والامتناع عن الركن بالقرب من زوايا الشارع حيث يتم حجب الرؤية لغيرك من سائقي السيارات والمشاة.

الوصول والمغادرة الهادئة: يُرجى التزام الهدوء على قدر الإمكان عند الوصول إلى الكنيسة وعند مغادرتها. سيساعد هذا الحرص على الاحتفاظ بهدوء وسلام منطقتنا.

عدم الركن في Broe Avenue: يُرجى الحرص على عدم ركن السيارات في Broe Avenue مما يسبب اختناق مروري وهو أمر خطير.

احترام الأماكن المحجوزة الخاصة بالجيران. قد يضع بعض الجيران صناديق القمامة أو غيرها لحجز أماكن لسياراتهم. ينبغي احترام احتياجاتهم ورغباتهم، يرجى عدم تحريك هذه العلامات وعدم الركن في الأماكن المحجوزة.
