Avoca Beach

Last week my son invited my wife and I to visit him in the Central Coast, where he lives and works. Knowing that we love walking on the beach, he recommended Avoca Beach as a lovely sandy beach to walk on at sunset. It was really so special. It was sunny but windy and the waves were strong. The Lord always sends spiritual messages even during our times of leisure, and during this time while walking on the beach, I’d like to share with you

 

God’s message:

As we walked, a strong wave happened to hit a small child walking with his parents on the beach. The wave was so strong that the child fell, causing his parents to rush to rescue him. It was dangerous considering the risk that the child might be easily pulled into the ocean.

 

In the same minute, my eyes caught another beautiful scene. 

 

A family with a child, similar in age to the young boy who was hit by the wave, were sitting on a huge rock at the end of the beach (as high as a 40-storey building and as wide as 10 buildings combined). The waves would hit the large rock strongly and cause huge splashes, but the water would never reach this family that was sitting PEACEFULLY on this huge rock. At this time, a lovely verse jumped into my mind:

Jesus said, “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it” Mat 16:18

 

Which family are you?

 

The one who sits peacefully on the ROCK of faith, or the one far from the ROCK, vulnerably facing the strong winds and waves of life?

 

 

2. Celebration for the Feast of St Bagoosh

3. St Mark’s Special Needs

Sunday school service

 

Our program features two specialised classes. One designed for children with diverse abilities and another tailored specifically for those with ADHD and autism, providing personalized one-on-one support. Our Sunday school lessons are creatively crafted to accommodate and celebrate the unique talents and needs of every child.

 

 

We have a planned monthly fun day (third week every month) that we and the kids wait for and enjoy a lot  

 

Service starts at 11am and concludes at 11:45am.

4.Sunday School Classes Changes

 

It is important to note that the Sunday School classes change over for 2025 will occur on the weekend of 8th & 9th of February. This means Sunday School classes and servants will not change (they are the same as 2024 allocation) this weekend 1st and 2nd February.

5. Monday night English bible study is relaunching!

 

Our new name is “The Living Word English Bible study” a testament to what this Bible Study will be: a deep encounter with the Lord to acquire the Holy Spirit. Suitable for all ages as well as servants, it will be run by our priests!

 

 First 4 weeks is with Fr Yacoub who will be discussing the life of Nehemiah. Join us at 7:30pm from this coming Monday!

7. St Paul’s Mission

 

The servants at St Paul’s Mission are welcoming new volunteers to help and share in the blessings every Wednesday.

8. St Mark’s School of Academic Excellence

 

Registrations are now open for St Mark’s School of Academic Excellence.

Tutoring classes are run every Friday night for all ages up to year 9 including reading sessions for Kindergarten and Year 1.

13. Parking Guidelines

 

Please take note of the following guidelines when parking your car and take care of our neighbours:

 

Avoid Parking Near Driveways or Corners: Always ensure that your vehicle does not block any driveways and that you avoid parking too close to corners, which can obstruct the view for other drivers and pedestrians.

 

Quiet Arrival and Departure: Please be as quiet as possible when arriving and leaving in your vehicles. This consideration will help maintain the tranquillity of our neighbourhood.

 

No Parking on Broe Avenue: Please observe the specific rule of not parking along Broe Avenue as this creates a traffic bottleneck which is dangerous.

 

Respect Neighbours’ Reserved Spots: Some neighbours may place bins or other markers to reserve parking spots for their households. Out of respect for their needs and requests, please do not move these markers or park in these reserved spots.

١.الرسالة الروحية الأسبوعية

يقدم رسالة هذا الاسبوع قدس أبونا جوناثان

شاطئ افوكا

دعاني ابني انا وزوجتي الاسبوع الماضي إلى زيارته في سنترال كوست حيث يقيم ويعمل هو وزوجته . ولعلمه بمحبتنا للشواطئ، نصحنا بالتنزه على الشاطئ الرملي وقت الغروب. وكان بالفعل له طابع خاص. كان الجو مشمس ولكن كانت الرياح شديدة والأمواج عالية. ودائماً ما يرسل الله رسائل روحية حتى في وقت الترفيه. خلال هذا الوقت وأثناء المشي على الشاطئ، اود ان اشارككم رسالة الله:

وبينما نحن سائرون، جاءت موجة شديدة وارتطمت بطفل صغير يسير مع والديه على الشاطئ. كانت الموجة شديدة لدرجة أن الطفل سقط على الأرض وأسرع والديه لانقاذه. كان الأمر خطير جداً  حيث كادت الأمواج أن تسحبه إلى داخل المحيط. في نفس اللحظة، رأيت منظر آخر جميل، عائلة معها طفل تقريباً في نفس عمر الطفل الذي سقط من الأمواج، كانوا جالسين على صخرة ضخمة في نهاية الشاطئ ( يبلغ علو الصخرة إلى علو مبنى يتكون من 40 طابق وعرض هذه الصخرة يصل إلى عرض 10 مباني مجتمعة). ترطم الأمواج هذه الصخرة بعنف وترش ماء كثير، ولكنها لا تصل إلى العائلة التي تجلس في سلام على الصخرة الضخمة. وفي الحال جاء إلى ذهني آية جميلة:

قال يسوع ” وَأَنَا أَقُولُ لَكَ أَيْضًا: أَنْتَ بُطْرُسُ، وَعَلَى هذِهِ الصَّخْرَةِ أَبْني كَنِيسَتِي، وَأَبْوَابُ الْجَحِيمِ لَنْ تَقْوَى عَلَيْهَا” متى 16:18

من أي عائلة انت؟العائلة التي تجلس في سلام على صخرة الإيمان، ام العائلة البعيدة عن الصخرة، وتواجه بضعف رياح وأمواج الحياة العنيفة 

 

٢.  الاحتفال بعيد القديس باجوش

اشترك معنا الساعة 6:30 يوم الأحد الموافق 2 فبراير لحضور العشية والزفة وكلمة من الآباء وهدايا.

يعقبه عشاء حفيف في قاعة الكنيسة  

 

 ٣. تغيير فصول مدارس الأحد

من المهم ملاحظة إن تغيير فصول مدارس الأحد لعام 2025 سيتم يومي 8 و 9 فبراير. وهذا يعني أن فصول مدارس الأحد والخدام لن يتم تغيرهم (سيظلوا كما كان الوضع في عام 2024) يومي 1 و2 فبراير. 

 

٤. خدمة مدارس أحد سانت مارك للاحتياجات الخاصة

لدينا فصلين، فصل مختلط وفصل لأطفال التوحد وكثيري الحركة وقليلي الانتباه  الذي يقدم خدمة فرد لفرد.

تدار فصول مدارس الأحد بطرق عديدة متنوعة تناسب احتياجات وإمكانيات الأطفال.

لدينا يوم مرح في الشهر (الاسبوع الثالث من كل شهر) ننتظره نحن والأطفال ونستمتع به جداً.

تبدأ الخدمة الساعة 11ص وتنتهي الساعة 11:45ص.

١٣إرشادات عن ركن السيارات

يُرجى الانتباه إلى الإرشادات التالية عند ركن سيارتك ومراعاة الجيران

تجنب ركن السيارات بجوار مداخل المنازل أو بجانب زوايا الشارع: تأكد دائماً من عدم سد أي مداخل/مخارج المنازل والامتناع عن الركن بالقرب من زوايا الشارع حيث يتم حجب الرؤية لغيرك من سائقي السيارات والمشاة.

الوصول والمغادرة الهادئة: يُرجى التزام الهدوء على قدر الإمكان عند الوصول إلى الكنيسة وعند مغادرتها. سيساعد هذا الحرص على الاحتفاظ بهدوء وسلام منطقتنا.

عدم الركن في Broe Avenue: يُرجى الحرص على عدم ركن السيارات في Broe Avenue مما يسبب اختناق مروري وهو أمر خطير.

احترام الأماكن المحجوزة الخاصة بالجيران. قد يضع بعض الجيران صناديق القمامة أو غيرها لحجز أماكن لسياراتهم. ينبغي احترام احتياجاتهم ورغباتهم، يرجى عدم تحريك هذه العلامات وعدم الركن في الأماكن المحجوزة.
